Spotlight brief

Creator spotlight feature

A long-form profile of a cover artist, penciller, colourist, or letterer tied to a Marvel NFT comic drop, written for collectors who want the person behind the splash page.

A creator spotlight feature is a structured article, not a press release. We start from the digital comic itself: the cover, the interior credit box, and any public convention remarks the artist has already placed on the record. We do not invent studio gossip, and we do not present Portal Craft Line as a Marvel newsroom.

What you receive

You receive a written feature of roughly 1,200 to 1,800 words. It names the role we are covering — pencils, inks, colours, letters, or variant-cover illustration — then walks three or four pages that show that role clearly. A collector should finish the piece able to point at a panel and say why that panel belongs to that craftsperson.

The feature includes a credit table, a short bibliography of public interviews, and a collector “how to read” paragraph. If the drop listing on a marketplace is thin, we say so in plain language rather than padding the file with rumour.

How the desk works

Writers in Leeds keep a paper folder per title. We print stills of key pages for markup, then type the feature in a second pass. That analogue step is deliberate: NFT comics are easy to swipe past. Slowing down is the service.

We will not claim an official interview unless you have already arranged one and asked us to transcribe. Most spotlights are observational: the page is the primary source.

Useful next steps

Call +44 113 496 4360 or email info@portalcraftline.click with the issue title and the creator role you care about. We will tell you whether the file already exists or needs a fresh reading. If you also keep issue lists in Desk Ledger, we can format the credit table so it matches your local notes. That utility remains a record-keeping tool, not a wallet.
